lament of a sleepy head

what is at stake
when u can't stay awake
what is there to loose
if u shut ur eyes and snooze
take a giant leap
simply fall asleep

all that heavy food
it was tasty and so good
now my poor eyes
inspite of many tries
won't stay open any more
i will drop asleep for sure

i want to put my head
onto a cosy bed
i want someone to hug
not sleep with a bed bug
floating thru myriad streams
lost within my dreams
